Marinated Grilled Kingfish with Vegetable Nori Rolls

A deliciously light summer meal incorporating the essence of Japanese cuisine – Sushi. Using premium products and fresh ingredients, you can create this restaurant quality dish easily at home.

Preparation Steps

  • 1Combine mirin seasoning, lemon juice, zest & soy sauce in a bowl & marinate fish fillets. Set aside.
  • 2Sprinkle 400g of cooked and cooled rice with sushi seasoning & mix well. Place the nori shiny side down on a bamboo rolling mat. Spread the rice evenly over the nori leaving a 2 cm strip to seal. Dab a small amount of mayonnaise and wasabi along the centre of the rice & top with a selection of finely sliced vegetables. Lift the mat & roll sushi roll tightly; brush nori with a little water & seal roll. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  • 3Heat griddle pan or BBQ over a medium heat & cook fish for 2 minutes on each side or until cooked.
  • 4Cut rolls into 3cm sized pieces & place sushi into the centre of the serving plate. Top sushi with the grilled fish & serve with lemon wedges.
